The series of monthly webinars, organized by the Advisory Center of AMP in partnership with Michigan State University (USA), has come to a close. Throughout the year, leading U.S. professionals shared their knowledge, real-life cases, and proven solutions that have long been effective on the international stage.

What stood out from this training? — Our experts share their impressions.

Let us remind you that in 2024, the Advisory Center of AMP partnered with Michigan State University (East Lansing, USA), enlisting the educational support of Phil Durst, field-based Educator, and Barry Bradford, a Professor in the Department of Animal Science. That year marked the launch of the first webinar series focused on effective approaches in dairy business management. Now, the second stage of this educational initiative has been successfully completed.

The 2025 stage of the collaboration truly became an example of education without borders — bringing together top international experts and covering a wide range of topics. Discussions ranged from the impact of heat stress and prevention of post-calving complications to organic dairy farming, staff management, and sustainable manure management solutions.

In addition to Phil Durst and Barry Bradford, other highly qualified professionals — including practitioners, researchers, and consultants with extensive international experience in the dairy sector — also shared their expertise.

  • Jimena Laporta Associate Professor Mammary Gland Physioligy, Animal and Dairy Sciences University of Wisconsin–Madison.
  • Kevin Janni, emeritus professor of bioproducts and biosystems engineering at the University of Minnesota and a retired professional engineer.
  • Guy Jodarski, DVM, based in Neillsville, Wisconsin, is the Lead Veterinarian for CROPP Cooperative/Organic Valley.
  • Deidra Icek, a consultant on regulatory compliance and regenerative agriculture, dairy producer in Michigan, and a certified technical service provider for the Natural Resources Conservation Service
  • Joe Sanford, researcher at the University of Wisconsin specializing in manure management.

The webinar participants remained consistent  the Advisory Center of AMP , veterinarians from Center of Veterinary Servise, and experts from Global Agro Finance. They had the opportunity to propose topics in advance, and after each session, received training materials and video recordings. The webinars were built around active dialogue and numerous questions, allowing participants not only to refresh their existing knowledge but also to absorb new approaches that are already being implemented on Ukrainian farms.

Thanks to initiatives like these, Ukrainian livestock farming is confidently integrating into the global landscape of knowledge and technology. We’re not stopping here — preparations for the next series of meetings are already underway!

Here’s what our experts have to say about the webinar series:

Valerii Lototskyi, Director of the Advisory Center of AMP and Center of Veterinary Servise: “We are sincerely grateful to our colleagues from Michigan State University for the training sessions. The key advantage — and what sets this learning apart from the training offered by company technicians — is the independent perspective on challenges, along with a balanced presentation of the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches to solving them. We received thorough and well-qualified answers to all of our questions.”

Oleksandr Nazarko, CEO of GAF: “Training from our U.S. colleagues is extremely valuable, as we select the topics that are most relevant to us and thoroughly explore the areas where we aim to deepen our knowledge and skills. Speakers are carefully chosen for each topic and are highly professional, which makes these sessions especially worthwhile. The feedback from the lecturers, their presentation style, and the content itself are truly invaluable.”

Vasyl Utynkevych, a consultant in dairy farm management at AC AMP: “We sincerely thank you for organizing the online seminars. Personally, I found the sessions on cow management particularly engaging — the clarity, organization, and attention to detail were impressive. Your approach to work — systematic, professional, and dedicated — left a strong impression. The results you’ve achieved are truly inspiring and serve as a benchmark for effective, modern animal care. We deeply value our collaboration and look forward to continuing our joint efforts!”

Denys Tymchenko, a consultant in dairy farm management at AC AMP/GAF: “I am deeply grateful to Phil Durst and Barry Bradford for selecting and organizing presentations by diverse and engaging speakers and practitioners in dairy farming. During discussions with representatives from Michigan State University, I received answers to all my questions and thoroughly enjoyed interacting with true professionals and passionate experts in their field.”
