In August 2015, a department of VSC in the entral regions of Ukraine started operating. The first farms on maintenance were "Basis" LLC, "Dzenzelivske" LLC and "Kischenzi" LLC. For today, VSC of Central Ukraine work with a dairy herd of more than 6,000 cows on 18 farms in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr and Kirovohrad regions.
Serhiy Kohut is a service veterinarian of the department. The consultant visits the regionally fixed farms in a weekly rhythm, gives consultations, recommends optimal solutions to problems and takes direct, practical part in the veterinary service of the farm. The main areas of work are disease prevention, reproduction, diagnosis of diseases and work with growing stock.
Over the years of cooperation, the farms have achieved an increase in key indicators of reproduction, health and quality of milk.
At PE "Pearlina Tikicha", an improvement was achieved in the quality of milk from high to extra class, the average daily productivity increased from 12-13 liters to 16 liters on a forage-fed cow, the percentage of pregnant animals in the herd increased by 15%.
At LLC "Ploskivske", due to the implementation of the recommendations of the service doctor and control over their implementation, the cow fertility was increased from 40% to 50% and the quality of milk was improved from higher to extra.
FG "Sokolivka" had average results, but due to the change of veterinarian there were problems with the state of health of animals, reproduction and quality of milk. Therefore, the service doctor visits the farm twice a week to stabilize the situation and achieve maximum indicators. Animal health is monitored in the postpartum period, if necessary, medical care is provided, diagnosis of pregnancy and causes of infertility in cows and heifers.
We achieve the set goals and increase the profitability of the farm by implementing treatment and prevention protocols, which are tested in practice and approved in Ukraine, providing guaranteed quality goods.
