In February 2017, a division of the Khmelnytsky Veterinary Service Center started operating.
The first farms supported by VSC in this region were LLC "Agroprodservice", AF “Perlyna Podillya”, APC “Labunsky”, LLC “BizOn”. To date, there are 12 farms supported by VSC of the Khmelnitsky region with a livestock of more than 4.5 thousand. Antonina Karavan is a service veterinarian of this division. She visits the regionally fixed farms in a weekly rhythm, gives consultations, recommends optimal solutions to problems and participates in the veterinary service of the farm. The main areas of work are disease prevention, reproduction, diagnosis of diseases and work with growing stock. 

During the period of cooperation with VSC, at PE "Agrarian Company 2004" an improvement was achieved in the quality of milk from high to extra class, the average daily productivity increased from 27 liters to 31 liters on a forage-fed cow, the service period reduced by 60 days. We managed to increase the percentage of pregnant cows in the herd to 54% and reduced the prevalence of metritis by 23%.

Thanks to the introduction of milking protocols and the implementation of preventive measures at FG “Somaky”, the bacterial contamination of milk was reduced to 102 thousand / cm3, and it was possible to increase the grade of milk from 1st grade to the highest. We achieved an average daily productivity from 9 liters to 20.5 liters on a forage-fed cow, increased the percentage of pregnant cows in the herd to 63.

At FG "Obriy", the average daily productivity increased from 19,1 liters to 25,7 liters on a forage cow, Due to the timely diagnosis of the causes of animal infertility and the prescription of treatment for each animal separately, the percentage of pregnant animals in the herd was increased from 27-30 to 57%. Determination of mastitis pathogens and their sensitivity to antibiotics in the Uman Labs (laboratory), made it possible to quickly select treatment and reduce the percentage of cows with mastitis to 10% today.

At AE «Svitanok», the average daily productivity increased from 28 to 30 liters on a forage cow, the fat content in milk increased by 0.4% and protein - by 0.3%. The incidence of metritis in fresh cows does not exceed 3% due to constant monitoring, timely treatment and balanced feeding. The percentage of pregnant cows in the herd increased to 62.
